Stakeholder Notification Service - Car Parking Initiatives
In response to increasing pressure on resort car parking facilities over recent years, a
number of initiatives will be in place for the 2017 snow season in order to
better accommodate changing visitation patterns, minimise pedestrian and
vehicle interaction and improve connections between public and private
transport. These initiatives include:
- The
creation of additional overnight car parking facilities along Corn Hill
Road to accommodate day vehicles in the CSIR car park
- Improving
and better maintaining pedestrian links between car parks and bus services
- Changes
to the car parking facilities at Mirimbah including resurfacing, re-fencing
and the installation of access gates to ensure appropriate, adequate and
secured parking for those visitors utilising transport services. A nominal
fee per vehicle per day will be applicable for this facility ($8 per day or
$48 per week)
