Pacific Dunes Will Remain Closed.

Dear Members,

I would like to remind you that Pacific Dunes is CLOSED and will remain closed until further notice.

It remains Golf Australia’s formal recommendation that, based on the Prime Minister’s announcement on Sunday evening, 29 March, all Golf Clubs and its attached facilities should cease trading until further notice. Pacific Dunes has taken on this advise and temporarily closed.

There have been numerous questions on social media and via email since the last member's communication was sent out, regarding the reopening, however there is no change to Pacific Dunes position of "closed until further notice". Pacific Dunes is not alone as many other clubs, including all Victorian courses have remained closed during this unpredictable and uncertain times.

The decision to close was not taken lightly, however it's in the best interests and safety of staff, members, residents and the broader community. We hope you can understand the clubs decision process and that we have your support in stopping the spread.

As we currently stand Pacific Dunes has had no reported cases of this deadly COVID -19, and as you can understand we would very much like to see this continue. Last report was that MEDOWIE had 3 confirmed cases.

Again I would like to advise that staff are currently undertaking facility improvements including deep cleaning, interior painting, course improvements (new turf for high traffic areas, grass mat on all drive on/drive off areas, seeding and organically for thin areas on fairway, tree works) and general course maintenance. Staff are adhering to all social distancing and safety requirements during this time.

I truly hope you, the members, appreciate the decisions made as we've put your health and well being first.
Please stay safe.

Kind regards
Kurt Linde
