Saturday afternoon we held our Annual General Meeting. We are pleased to announce our committee as:
President: Anthony S

As immediate past President, David stays on the committee for twelve months.
David has handed over the reigns of the RSL to Anthony after a ten year and nine month tenure. He has seen the club evolve over the years to where it is now, which is in a really good place. Not just in the physical sense in regards to the enormous amounts of painting, garden works, repairs etc, but also in the camaraderie side, and the enormous expansion of our welfare services in conjunction with Anthony. He has overseen an increased presence in the community and has presided over our formal dinners which have become a twice yearly staple with our ANZAC Dinner and our Remembrance Day Dining In Evening.
(He was also instrumental in the hiring of yours truly, well conducting the interview with Beth at least.... the best decision he made.......)
We all wish him well in his retirement from the committee and sincerely thank him for his service to his club.
The Committee, staff and all of our wonderful volunteers want to wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a safe and Happy New Year.

WOW!!
What a fantastic day to get back into the music feels again! The weather was en pointe, the people were merry, the food was delicious, especially the hampers, and the drinks flowed!!
I even took a phone call from a lady who lives in a nearby street. She had gotten home from work at 5.15 and was sitting outside enjoying the sunshine and music when she felt compelled to ring and ask who the band was...It was Dr Ric. She said they were awesome and wished he could play on all night. I told Dr Ric this piece of news and he was well chuffed that his music was being enjoyed.
To all those who came and enjoyed the music, we hope you enjoyed yourselves and come back when we have another round of music!

They're back!!!
Eastern Blues Association is back at the RSL on the 6th January!! Bring your Blues vibes and enjoy the RSL's first foray of 2021's Blues music.
Free entry, music from 8pm. Bookings essential for dinner, 9754-3665. |

Over the Christmas/New Year period, we will be closed after members drinks on Wednesday the 23rd until the 6th January.
Trish has kindly offered to keep the place open for holiday drinkies in that closed period though, so from 3pm-6pm daily, (apart from Christmas Day) come and partake of a holiday beverage!! |

Whilst I'm away over the closed period, I will still update you with information that needs to go out, and I couldn't possibly deny y'all the trials and tribulations of the spawns non girlfriend girlfriends and pre-teen dramatics.....Plus I know you all won't survive without the joke of the week, so I'll put in a newsletter of a Sunday night as usual, except the 27th (even God rested on Sunday hahahahaha) |
